Taking Your Kitten Home:
In preparation we recommend preparing a small, quiet room for your new arrival. This room should contain all the essentials like fresh water and food, as well as a litter box. Let the kitten move around that space at their leisure. We believe that creating a peaceful environment is key to facilitating integration in their new home, especially during the first few days.
Taking your kitten home, whilst it is very exciting for you, please bare in mind that your new little kitten can find the experience rather scary due to the immense amount of change.
To aid your kittens' transition into their new home away from their mother and litter mates we at Woodhall Ragz always send each kitten with a blanket of their mother's scent.
We recommend placing your kitten's mother's scented towel that we have provided in your cat carrier to remind your kitten of a familiar scent. Riding inside a carrier will provide safety and security for your kitten during the car ride. We want their journey home to be as pleasant as possible!
We're committed to making sure that your experience with us is a positive one. We understand that introducing a new kitten to a new home can be a daunting experience for both you and your furry friend. That's why we provide helpful tips and guidance on how to make the transition as smooth as possible. Whether it's creating a safe space for your kitten to explore or slowly introducing them to other family members and pets, we're here to help make the process less stressful for everyone involved.
We specialize in raising healthy, happy Ragdoll kittens with excellent temperament. Upon Arrival

The transition into a new home can be stressful, that's why we recommend starting slowly and keeping your kitten confined to a single room for the first few days. This way, they can get used to their new surroundings and feel safe. It is helpful for you to take the time to get to know your kitten, and let them get to know you, bonding over playtime and cuddles is beneficial for creating a trusting and loving relationship with your furry friend. As your kittens become more comfortable, you can gradually introduce them to other areas of the house with the support of yourself.
Going out and leaving your pet alone
Ragdolls are very sociable felines and crave human attention as you will soon realize. This does not mean you cannot leave them alone. They will soon get used to your routine, for example when we pop out, we put the radio on, and they use this time to often sleep or ‘lazy’ around. Ideally if you're going to work a bit it would be in their best interest to get them another feline companion, preferably around the same age. To ensure your kitty is well taken care of while you're not there, leave plenty of toys and activities to keep them occupied. Try leaving some treats and stimulating toys around for them to explore, and make sure they have access to fresh water and food or consider interactive toys to help prevent boredom and keep them stimulated. And, most importantly, spend some quality time before you leave. Playing and grooming your kitty will help bond your scent with feelings of security.
